Three Things You Need to Know Before Crowdfunding in Hardware

on September 16, 2014

Scott presented to the Hardwired NYC group last week on the subject of three things you need to know before crowdfunding. Developing a hardware product is complex and there are many unknowns entrepreneurs face when heading into manufacturing. This presentation gives an overview of what hardware crowdfunding teams should be aware of before they raise capital and acquire their first set of customers.

You can view the video and accompanying slides of Scott's presentation below.

Check out some photos from the event. If you're in NYC and interested in hardware, become a part of the Hardwired NYC Meetup group!

Scott N. Miller

Scott has been fascinated with hardware since he was old enough to hold a screwdriver. He worked on a robotic tuna fish, life-size robotic dinosaurs for Disney Imagineering, and robotic baby dolls with Hasbro, before joining iRobot where he was responsible for leading the Roomba team to scale the functional prototype to high-volume production of the first three million units.
